CastTool Help
Agencies and casting offices

Getting started

Create an account, enter your legal details and publish your website.

Create an account

Enter your email address

On www.casttool.net, go to Sign up, enter your email address and choose Request link. No account is created yet. The link in the email is valid for 24 hours.

Set up the account

The link takes you to app.casttool.net. There you enter:

  • Name of the agency or casting office
  • Address of your website (subdomain): lowercase letters, digits and single hyphens, 3 to 30 characters. The page checks right away whether the address is free. It cannot be changed later, but you can connect a custom domain at any time.
  • Type of account: model agency or casting office. A casting office has no website and no bookings.
  • Your name and a Password of at least 12 characters.

With Create account you accept the terms and the data processing agreement. You are then the owner of the account.

Try it out

You test for 14 days without a card. During the trial, sending emails is throttled. What happens afterwards is described under Subscription.

Contract

By creating the account you accept the terms and the data processing agreement. CastTool is only for businesses. The version that applies is shown at the top of each legal page.

Publish your website

This part does not apply to a casting office, it has no website.

A new website is offline. Visitors only see a notice that it is being built, and forms accept nothing. It only goes online once the details required for the legal notice and privacy policy are there.

Under Agency, in the Legal details section, fill in the fields marked *: name or company, authorised representative, address, country, email address, phone number and privacy contact. Each field explains below what belongs in it. The legal notice in the footer of every page of your website is built from these details.

Publish the privacy page

Under Pages, create the common page Privacy, add your text and choose Publish. You find building blocks for it under Legal texts, see Website.

Publish

Back under Agency, the Publication section shows what is still missing. Once everything is there, choose Publish website. The change takes effect everywhere within a minute.

Take website offline takes it off the web again. While it is online, required details cannot be removed.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the details being accurate and complete under the law that applies to your agency. The fields do not replace legal advice.
